In 2004, Shrewsbury succeeded in returning
to the Football League. The same year, a few months later, Scandinavian Shrews have been
chosen as the first FL2 team in Svenska Fans, the largest supporter site in Scandinavia. www.svenskafans.com has on average 600.000 hits
every day.In 1999, Kenneth Löfgren started the Swedish
Branch on the internet. The intention was to create a network for Shrews in Sweden. After
a while more and more people started to visit the site, including fans from Norway and
Finland. In Spring 2004, Mattias Wikstrand took over as webmaster as Kenneth didn’t
have the time required to run the site. At the same time, Swedish Branch became
Scandinavian Shrews. A new site, www.scandinavianshrews.com was launched. We now have
members from all of the Nordic countries except Iceland and hopefully our introduction to
Svenska Fans will help us to reach a wider fanbase and increase the interest for
Shrewsbury in sweden and the rest of Scandinavia.
In Spring 2005, we will make our first organsied trip to
Shrewsbury.
